There were two guys who escaped from the Douglas County jail in Omaha in 1978. They went to the Millard airport and stole a light twin and flew it to the Canadian border. They landed at an airport on this side of the border (bad navigation). People on the ground witnessed the rough landing and called the FAA to complain. Apparently, the two thiefs laughed about the landing, but the ground observes thought that the landing was pretty bad.
